A meaningful education for the 21st century. The Liberal and Interdisciplinary Studies Office at UCF provides several ways in which to gain a degree relevant to 21st century life. Interdisciplinary education is central to the Liberal Studies track, with two areas of study and a minor. The Liberal Arts track allows students to concentrate more deeply in the traditional arts and sciences. Environmental Studies provides preparation for careers and advanced educational opportunity in the environmental field.

• Interdisciplinary experience. We provide a number of combinations of studies that will enhance your education and career opportunities.
• Advising. Our professional advisors take time for one-on-one meetings that focus on you and provide information and guidance to you.
• Peers. Peer advisors are available the Liberal & Interdisciplinary Studies office ­ and there are 1,400 majors with whom you can discuss your interests and plans.
• Organization. The Liberal Studies Organization, a student organization at UCF, offers chances for you to become involved with fellow Liberal Studies majors and enjoy the benefits of a large and growing university.
• Location. We are located in Suite 302 of the Classroom Building, a convenient location for advising or just stopping by and seeing what Liberal Studies is all about.

Liberal Studies students take classes and concentrate in study areas throughout the university. These areas, together with minor degrees, allow students to tailor programs that meet their interests and inform their goals. Students graduating with a Liberal Studies degree enter career paths, go to graduate school, and use their interdisciplinary knowledge in a world that more and more demands multiple dimensions of expertise.
